Riders on the storm

Well, went to the Motorcycle Show in Brussels and to a HUGE wharehouse the next day. 25.000 bikes.

Me to my co-worker:

"Mate, you reckon they'll notice if I take one?"

Met Klaudiusz and Volodja in Brussels. Serious blokes, as in : they take drinking very seriously. Good to see.

And then drove for 7 1/2 hours on a trip which should've been 4 1/2 hours. Feck me. Wind gales of 130 clicks an hour. Good thing I'm nuts, otherwise I would've driven at only 80 an hour like all the other guys. I'd still be in traffic now! Got home, opened a Tyskie and slept like a baby.

Sidenote : Showing the baby sister of an old Uni friend the sights in A'dam later. I hope Peruvians like Dutch food.

The world we live in

With some German politicians screaming for a 120 KM per hour limit on their once-free autobahns, EU directives making is very difficult indeed for newcomers to get a motorcycle license (for no reason I can see) and just plain old nonsense flying around about man-made global warming, it's refreshing to see some people are still thinking openly.

Strangly (or perhaps not so strange) this seems -more often than not- to apply to friends of mine. One of whom has written this very interesting article on global warming. He writes down (in a much better manner than I would be able too, mine would just be an expletive filled rant) what is actually going down with the earth at this point and time.

New Year

Even if 2007 is going to be only half as cool as 2006, I'll be a happy camper.
