It's about time
For another party picture.
Meet Sarah, Nadja, Jani, Melanie and Tero. New friends and old friends combined.
We might have had a little too much to drink. Just a bit. Like 6 Moet and Chandon Magnum bottles. I like Germany. A lot. Can you tell?
Three weddings and a funeral
I'm getting to be of the age where all my friends are starting to get married.
I had three weddings this past weekend. An old friend from my Peugeot days, some of my Munich drinking buddies and my old Stockholm flat-mate.
Some alcohol was drunk. OK, a lot was drunk. I was pissed the entire weekend.
I saw the sun come up over de Nurburgring on Sunday, 4 12 year old girls practising riding a Unicycle in a small village (very weird sight) in Germany, a Dutch protestant pastor using the words "Porsche" and "Global Village" in her sermon and true love (times 3).
And a bright yellow new Lamborghini used as a wedding car for a pregnant wife-to-be.
Gotta love race car fanatics.
(oh, and BTW, the funeral was for my liver)
For admittance to the 7th layer of Hell..........
I would to like nominate real-estate agents and rental house owners.
Wankers, the lot of them.
The more I think about it, the more I am inclined to just buy a place myself.
My place
Finally got myself a decent place yesterday.
Important data :
- 68 sq. meters
- Good neighbourhood In between a church (!) and a park.
- Good state
- 5 mins. away from the old city (going out district) and Rhein River. Walking. :-)
- And an amazing
kitchen (which is very rare in Deutschland) which has an extra high counter. Whoohooooo
So now I have a big place in a fashionable city but zero furnitre. I sold everything when I left Brussels. That will not impress anyone.
So suggestions for cool stuff are kindly received.
Already suggested are :
- An indoor hot tub
- A pinball machine
- A Pacman machine
- A "Fussball" table
- a bar
- a 3 square meter BBQ pit
But I still have space left! Oh, and a welcoming house-party will take place in the next few weeks. Stop by anytime.
The weirdest bar in the world
I think I found it.
Somewhere in a sidestreet of a market square somewhere in Munich. Small entrance, small interior, Harley Davidson hung from the ceiling.
Other weird things :
- No girl costumers
- All the drinkers have a mullet
- The woman behind the bar has been standing there since mid the mid 70s, and she's still flirting with everybody. And the drinkers love it.
- The music is taken straight from the mid 70s too. The GERMAN mid 70s
But best of all was the "Hall of Fame". All the famous people that have been to this place at some point. And guess what, the woman behind the bar was on most of the pics. Mostly local Bavarian of German celebs from 20 years ago with P.I.M.P. moustaches.
But I stayed. Not because the beer was cheap. Not because I was just so interested with the atmosphere and not because I was in awe of the drinking abilities of the locals.
No, it was the pic of the waitress and Freddie Mercury. Standing right where I was standing.
Fascinating.
Hay Fever
Haaaaaaaaaatchi, or how-ever you spell a sneeze in English.
Can't all flowers be banned or something? And forests can be put to better use anyway. There're never enough race-tracks around when you need them.
I currently look like cocaine eddict. Red eyes, non stop sniffing and a very short fuse.
The only way to ban the bad thoughts is thinking about the Beer and Bitches BBQ weekend I had last weekend with some old Uni mates (and new ones, if only I could remember their names....) and playing the new
Tool CD at a very unreasonable level. Maynard Keenan is God.
Munich coming up. My liver is preparing.
Short Skirt
Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong JacketThat song is is my head. I wonder why.
I believe it should be the dress code for every women in this beautifull weather. Luckily some nice interns here happily oblige.
It's summer. Whoooohoooooooooooooooooooooooo
May Day!
Got supremely drunk on Queens day with an old friend who actually has a fully functioning BAR in his living room. Very dangerous. You can see why we are friends....
Was very hung-over on Sunday, did nothing.
Went motorcycling today, bought some new glasses, got a few new pairs of jeans and have shown interest in buying a very nice track BMW. Hope I will get more info at the end of the week.

Pic of me in biking gear with a 9 o'clock shadow, sleepy but ready to go. And no, I'm not *that* fat, it was cold out so I wore 4 layers. Still have to switch from 2 to 3 sessions a week though.
More fun and games next weekend. Meeting up with some friends I met in Uppsala. Can't wait.
